Florida Southern breaks ground on business education building

Florida Southern College in Lakeland takes a major step in the creation of a business program with a Feb. 14 groundbreaking for the Becker Business Business.

New York architect Robert A.M. Stern, dean of the Yale University School of Architecture, designed the three-story, 40,000-square-foot building, according to a written statement.

Bill and Mary Ann Becker gave a ?generous? naming gift for the new building, which will include a simulated trading floor, computer lab, faculty offices and a caf?.
