According to?cruise?line's statement on its website, the?fire?occurred on the mooring area of deck 3 about 2:15 a.m. Monday aboard the?ship?Grandeur of the Seas and was quickly extinguished.
Miami-based Royal Caribbean says the 2,224 passengers and 796 crew members had to report to evacuation stations but that all are safe and have been accounted for. The?cruise?line also says the?ship?still has full power. No major injuries were reported.
The?ship?left Baltimore on Friday for a 7-night?cruise. It was on its way to CocoCay in the Bahamas, but instead went to Freeport, Bahamas, for further evaluation.
