Aspiranet Family Focused Support Network (FFSN) is designed to assist families with children/youth who have developmental disabilities. 80% of our clients have autism. FFSN is a practical support program that offers tools for families to keep children with disabilities living at home instead of in group care.

An individualized program specially tailored to each child and family is developed by the Behaviorist and implemented by the Intervention Specialist. The Intervention Specialist will implement the Behavior plan focused on the development of new skills and patterns. The family. Our services are designed to improve skills and enhance the quality of life for the child/youth and their family.

Job Description:

  • Support youth and their family by helping youth in their homes and in the community. Support may include teaching youth social skills, communication skills, self esteem, anger management, self help skills etc. using positive reinforcement and play therapy.
  • Model appropriate behavior and communications so others can see how to do successful youth management and reinforcement.
  • Help develop and provide youth-specific activities in relation to the Plan.
  • Participate in required meetings and training.
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Social Workers, Behaviorists and Supervisors.

Position is for 10-30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be available usually between 2 p.m.-8 p.m. weekdays and/or weekends anytime. Exact days and times are partially determined by the employee and partially by their clients' availability. Once number of preferred hours is established, then the employees are required to consistently work those hours. Hours for work usually means weekday afternoons and/or weekends which usually includes at least one weekend day per week.?

Employees in good standing also have the opportunity to work from their own home computers to type notes and email them to the team members. The position also pays mileage.
